The lower paying jobs were around $39,000 while the top figure jobs earned above $91,500. Starting salary will usually be around $45,000 for those just out of college, but experienced engineers can expect to earn much more.

The employment outlook for those in these careers is excellent. The United States Bureau of Labor Statistics is estimating that with such an emphasis on caring for the environment, careers for those with an environmental engineering degree and experience in this field will grow by leaps and bounds in the next few years, possibly increasing as much as 25%.
