Education and Training

As a Holistic Health Practitioner, you must be caring, honest, and self-directed and motivated. This is a career that requires one to have a strong sense of empathy and ethics. For a lot of specialties, for example acupuncture and massage therapy, most of the states require one to be certified. There are many training options with start from a few weeks to two or four year colleges. Other programs offer courses all the way to the masters level.

Expected Salary

Some choose to emphasize the bodywork aspect of the profession while others choose to act more as counselors or teachers. Holistic health practitioners earn anywhere from $37,000 to $45,000 a year.
