Many are able to work with websites in a large assortment of areas such as developer, animator, game designer, interactive media designer and many other similar careers. In addition, a graduate may also be able to work as an audio or video specialist in television or film, a storyboard artist and other such positions.

Expected Income and Expected Career Growth

The income averages for those who work in areas that require multimedia design degrees start at $31,000 and can go as high as $85,000 a year depending on the person's multimedia design degree level and their actual position with the company they work for. The average salary is $61,100 according to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Despite the fact that the pursuit of multimedia design degrees is increasing in popularity, the number of jobs in the field is still small and the competition for those jobs is highly competitive. Expectations for job growth in the field in the next few years remain at 5%, which is much lower than other jobs.
