Online Network Management Training Programs

This article explores why network management training is required for network administration careers. Network management training is a field of study for those who are into computer network engineering.

The world of computing has evolved so much to the extent that we realize that there is still a lot more about computing that we do not yet know. Each and every day there are new ideas that come up, and it is up to the computer engineers to come up with the relevant systems to take care of the needs that arise thereof. Apart from this, there are those who watch a lot of movies, and strive to conceptualize the ideas that are displayed in there. Well this might be innovatory thinking, but the computing involved, especially that which encompasses networking, requires the expertise of professionals at network management. The major focus of network management lies on the operation and management of computer networks, especially in businesses and in the world of technology. These are the main areas wherein the students can expect to get employed.

Network Management Education and Training

Network management training offers students different skills so that they are proficient in their related fields of study. The students have to be aware of the importance of involving both the management of their systems and the users in the in effort to develop accurate computer networks. Some of the network management training that they are accorded include Internet security and information services, web servers, UNIX computer systems and so many other computing systems.

Network Management, especially under Security and Disaster Recovery, the students learn the foundational knowledge and skill to manage the computer systems, develop others, monitor and operate them efficiently. This usually involves also assessing the systems for any flaws in operation, and taking the necessary actions thereof.

Network Administration Careers

There are as many network and management training systems today as there are different ideas as regards networking. More often, the students that excel in their fields usually have the chance to get good employment opportunities in fields like the help desk jobs, repairing of computers and more specifically, network management.

More specifically, some of the fields in which network management is required include: Computer networks, especially wireless and mobile communication, whereby they are able to learn the means through which the different network systems operate the extent of their operation and the security concerns with regard to the systems, and how a combination of these factors affect the organization.

Carrying out servicing on the network systems; students are taught basically the designing, performance and regular maintenance of network systems and services. There are so many systems that work in a given network, which they must learn to operate. Some of these include conducting Remote Procedure Checks, COBRA systems and Java. At this level, they also get to learn more about services that affect organizations globally.

Expected Salary and Project Career Growth

The United States Bureau of Labor (BLS) statistics reports that the median income for computer support specialists is over $40,000. The BLS projects growth in the network administration industries as follows:

  • Computer systems administrators - 13%
  • Computer system analysis - 29%
  • Database administration - 37%

In addition, according to the BLS, those with network administration degree or related area earn annual median salaries as follows:

  • Computer systems analyst: $73,000
  • Database administrator: $67,000
