Online Secondary Education Degrees

Secondary education degrees prepare students in teacher education programs to teach at the high school level. Secondary education is often referred to as high school, takes place after elementary education and middle school education or what is sometimes called adolescent education.

In middle and secondary school, educators are important role models for their students. Between ages thirteen and eighteen, students are seeking reliable sources to make sound decisions, and as a certified teacher you can be a part of that. A secondary education degree enables graduates who have attained teacher certification to teach high schools in a various subjects that include mathematics, sciences, English, sciences, social studies, art, music, foreign languages, etc. Continuing education courses are also offered online to enhance and upgrade current pedagogy skills. The secondary education courses vary according to the particular area that teachers wish to focus on, for example technology integration or assessment methods.
