Careers with Singing TrainingWhen working you will have to identify the type of voice training that is needed, and be able to give results based on that plan. You will develop techniques to help them expand the range, pitch and articulation. Developing the voice is important, and one of the key roles you will provide. Teaching the proper way to breathe is also a requirement, and you need to be able to demonstrate this as well as be able to coach the techniques. Due to the freelance nature of the work, income can vary greatly from one teacher to another. Those that teach in the public school system may make less than those that do private lessons. The employment of musicians and singers is expected to grow by 10% between 2010 and 2020 (BLS). The hourly wage of musicians and singers was $22.39 in 2010 with a range of $8.50 to $60.02. The job opportunities are low due to the competitive nature of the job and music education being phased out in the majority of schools. However attending singing training will keep you current and connected with your talent. Good coaches that offer singing lessons will be able to stay in demand and have more opportunities than others to stay in business and gain more students.
